Scholarships are a form of gift aid and do not need to be repaid. When you are accepted to Point Park, you automatically are considered for these awards. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis (one-half in fall, one-half in spring). We invite you to explore our many Point Park scholarships, listed below, and their awarding criteria.

The scholarships listed on this page are for students who will enter Point Park for the 2019-20 academic year (fall 2019 or spring 2020). If you are starting Point Park in spring 2019, please visit our Scholarships for the 2018-19 academic year page. Students in the Online program are not eligible for scholarships or grants from the university. Participating in Study Abroad may affect your scholarship.

Students who opt for test optional admission will be evaluated and eligible for all appropriate scholarships.

In addition to offering institutional scholarships, we encourage students to seek out private scholarships - from organizations, businesses and other special-interest groups. At Point Park, you will never have your merit-based aid reduced if you receive outside scholarships.


Freshmen and Transfer Students

Achievement
$3,000- $25,000
  • Full-time, traditional undergraduate FRESHMEN or TRANSFER students
  • Candidates will have demonstrated high caliber of artistic ability through the artistic audition process and/or a personal interview.
  • Intended major must be dance, theatre arts, cinema production, animation and visual effects, or screenwriting.
  • Must maintain GPA 3.0 and full-time, COPA status
  • Merit aid is to be used to offset the cost of tuition and fees ONLY
Candidates are notified of award in the artistic decision letter.

Academic
Freshmen
$5,000
  • Full-time, traditional undergraduate FRESHMEN
  • GPA 3.5 cumulative high school grade point average (on a 4.0 scale)
  • SAT 1260 total including the writing component OR ACT composite score of 26
  • Candidates are considered based on the artistic audition or interview.
  • Must maintain GPA 3.0 and full-time, COPA status
  • Merit aid is to be used to offset the cost of tuition and fees ONLY
Candidates are notified of award in the artistic decision letter.

Academic Transfer

  • Full-time, TRANSFER students
  • GPA 3.5 cumulative grade point average
  • Candidates are considered based on the artistic audition or interview.
  • Must maintain GPA 3.0 and full-time, COPA status
  • Merit aid is to be used to offset the cost of tuition and fees ONLY

Note: Total merit scholarship amount for any Conservatory applicant cannot exceed the maximum range for their respective artistic award level. Candidates are notified of award in the artistic decision letter. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis (one-half in fall, one-half in spring).
